I recently welcomed my 3rd child and I’m currently 8 weeks postpartum.
This postpartum journey has been different than the last two, but even with 3 different postpartum journeys, there’s a few products that I’ve used every single time.
I delivered vaginally all 3 of my pregnancies, so the products you need could depend on your delivery.
Here’s my top 10 favorite postpartum products.
Peri bottle – The hospital gives you a clear plastic one to use, but I prefer to use this one as its easier and the spout really helps clean the area.
Ice Packs – I took the ones the hospital had, but prefer the Frida Mom Ice Packs as they stick to the underwear and stay cooler longer.
Healing Spray – Helps with swelling
Hemorrhoid Cream or Witch Hazel Pads – Hate to talk about it, but it happens and can be they can be quite an annoying pain. The cream and pads help sooth the area to give you some relief.
Sitz Bath Salts – Hemorrhoid pain is an uncomfortable and weird pain. Sitz baths can help soothe and reduce swelling.
Disposable Underwear- You’ll live in these for at least 1-2 weeks or longer until your bleeding slows down or stops. A family member mentioned Depends to me and I never looked back. However Frida Mom has a boy shorts option. Just depends on your budget and underwear preference. Remember to be comfortable!
Nipple Cream – Helps with sore and chapped nipples. Trust me, you’ll need this!
Nursing Tanks – For the first few weeks, all I wore was a nursing tank and disposable underwear. When you’re nursing or pumping around the clock, these tank are super easy and you can wear them by themselves or with a cover up if you get cold.
Nursing Bras – These just makes breastfeeding so simple. Makes it easy to feed baby anywhere you are.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money for your postpartum needs. There are some things that can help with healing, but the most important thing your body needs is rest!
