The day of LOVE!

As a kid, Valentine’s Day is the day you get lots of candy and Valentine’s cards from all of our classmates! I don’t know what’s better, getting so many treats or feeling so loved from all your friends. I keep all the Valentine’s cards that my daughter has gotten through the years. Unfortunately, that fun looks a little different this year for the virtual learners, like my 1st grader.

Since she is unable to participate in the fun activities in person at school, I brought the fun to the house! Here are 10 Valentine’s Day Craft Ideas that your kid will love! They are simple, easy to follow, doesn’t require a lot of materials, and super inexpensive.

You also don’t have to be the craftiest person to achieve these crafts. They’re great to do together for bonding and sharing LOVE!

Pro Tip: I would recommend purchasing the Valentine Craft Basics Tray craft kit from Michaels as it will save you time and makes these crafts so much easier! It’s a lot less expensive buying it this way instead of purchasing everything individually. I also like to keep all the extra crafts supplies, just in case! You can find the kit here!

  1. Valentine’s Day Heart CraftThis craft is probably the easiest! All you need is paper and glue. The googly eyes are a nice touch, but you can draw the face yourself.
  1. Valentine’s Day Headbands – Super inexpensive and perfect to wear to the virtual Valentine’s Day party.
  1. Cupid’s Wand – This is my daughter’s favorite! This was actually inspired from @houseofhummels on Instagram. The best part about this craft is it’s perfect to use for pretend play over and over again! For this one I got craft happy and purchased the cute heart fabric and stitched it together, but you can totally take a dowel rod (also at Michaels), some felt, and hot glue it together. Used the Valentine’s garland from Dollar Tree!
  1. Popsicle Stick Valentine’s Frames – This easy craft is the perfect keepsake! You can do a handprint, write a special message, or a photo of your little Valentine. Keep for yourself or send some love to another loved one.
  1. Valentine Friendship Neckalace Make Valentine Keepsakes to wear everyday! They make the cutest accessory to wear to the virtual Valentine’s Day party.
  1. Hand Bouquet – A little messy but so worth it. Instead of giving real flowers this year, try your littles hands to remember for years to come. It’s less expensive and last longer.
  1. Silly Valentine’s Heart Puppets – These are the cutest love puppets. You can make them however you want. This was great for the puppet show we had later.
  1. Valentine Marshmallow Pops – Can’t have a Valentine’s Day party without something sweet! These are fun to make and eat!
  1. Valentine’s Friendship bracelets – BFF’s forever! Super easy and another great accessory to wear to your virtual Valentine’s Day party!
  1. Toilet Roll Love Bugs – These are the cutest love bugs! All you need is a toilet paper roll and whatever art supplies you can find!

Happy Valentine’s Day and I hope you enjoy these sweet fun crafts with your little one. Let me know which one you try or which was your favorite!
