Meet the Hayes’s!
Carl– My wonderful and amazingly handsome husband who I met in college. We have been married 3 years and counting. He is the foundation of this family and we admire him so much. Carl is from Houston Texas and will not let you forget it! H-Town! He has a passion for information technology and spends countless hours working and studying! When daddy is not spending time perfecting his craft, he loves spending time with his girls and fur babies! We love daddy and all of the support and protection he provides us.
Aeryn– My first born baby girl and little ball of emotion. She is now 6 years old and has the biggest personality for such a little person! She has always been wise beyond her years. Don’t be fooled by her sweet innocent smile though. She can be a sassy and bossy firecracker with so much attitude. Her dad says she gets that from her mama. Aeryn enjoys her time on YouTube and has the idea that she may want a channel of her own! Look out world! Aeryn loves Science and is a Reading champ! She is for sure mommy’s sidekick, but has daddy wrapped around his tech fingers. We love our little Sour Patch kid and it’s such a joy to watch her grow and learn!
Baby A– My 2nd sweet baby girl. She is not here yet, but from her movements in mommy’s tummy she is going to give her sister a run for her money! I can already tell she may be a little stubborn like her big sister! Aeryn is so excited that she is getting a little sister, and a sibling nonetheless. We all can’t wait to meet you baby girl! Stay tuned to how I found out I was pregnant with baby #2!
Rocko– Technically Rocko is really my first born. Carl surprised me on my 20th birthday with him (still one of my best gifts). He’s a maltipoo (Matlese mixed with poodle) and was only 6 weeks old when I got him and it was a total surprise. We say all the time that Rocko was the special one of the litter. There’s not a day that goes by that he doesn’t do something to make us laugh. He’s gotten older since the little 5 pound puppy I once had, but still has so much spunk! He’s 8 years old and is a true mommy’s boy! Even daddy has to fight him for attention sometimes. So don’t mess with his mama!
Reese– Our sweet Reese-e girl! Reese was a rescue. Carl and I wanted another dog and thought it was time. We knew we wanted a semi- bigger dog but when we saw Reese we instantly wanted her! She was a stray and unfortunately we had to come back the next day to adopt her. Of course we went back (I made Carl), and had to bring her future big brother Rocko to see how they interacted. It was a match and we adopted her that day! She is an Australian Cattle Dog and we think she may be mixed with Border Collie (maybe we will find out exactly one day) and is such a sweet girl! She’s a bit paranoid, but we think it’s because of her background. We don’t know what our poor baby went through prior to us, but she’s definitely in a home full of love. There’s not a day that goes by that we’re not laughing about something she did either. Reese was 6 months old when we got her and is now almost 3 years old. She is daddy’s girl but will protect everyone in the house by any means necessary! Who rescued who?
Mommy– And then there’s me! I look at my family all the time and just thank God for what he’s given me. It’s more than what I could have asked for. They are all my reasons. The reason I will keep going with all I have. The reason that I may be up late at night cleaning messes or doing projects. The reason I may have to take off work for them being sick (dogs included). The reason that I will never give up or quit. The reason I created this blog. We are not the perfect family and we don’t want to paint that picture at all. We’re pretty silly and chaotic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
